1 Min Read

The first of 12 missions by the World Pediatric Project to St Vincent and the Grenadines began over the weekend.

Saturday 7th January saw the commencement of the first task,  which will continue through 14th January 2017.

46 children will benefit from the missions work, including children from Dominica, St. Lucia, Grenada, St. Kitts-Nevis, Antigua and Barbados.

The mission will also make a donation of medical equipment at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, valued at 1.2 million dollars.

Some 14 million dollars in donated medical services from the medical community was mobilised last year, which gave hundreds of children first-time access to critical care.

The current team is comprised of five members.

World Pediatric Project was founded in 2001 as International Hospital for Children, with the mission to link worldwide paediatric surgical, diagnostic and preventative resources to heal critically ill children in developing countries.
