The NDP’s Candidate for East Kingstown Fitz Bramble Says the constituency arguably has one of the worst health facilities in the country.
“ It is even worst due to the fact that this is where the Minister of health lives and grew up”.
The Sion Hill Clinic is currently under repairs and should be completed in the next three weeks according to Minister of Health Luke Browne.
Bramble says due to the spread of the constituency there is urgent need for such health facility.
Bramble noted that it would be a 24hr facility, which would take a lot of pressure off the main health centre in capital city Kingstown.
“ The area has about 35,000 people with the next facility being all the way in Calliaqua” Bramble said.
Health care in SVG is deplorable, to say the least, the NDP candidate said.
“ Never mind they brag about Georgetown Medical you know, all that is important and needed, but the results don’t add up”.
Bramble said that the Government t should not try to explain away the deplorable state of health care, it needs fixing.
