World Kidney Day will be observed on March 9, 2017, with the significance of the day being recognised around the globe to bring focus and overall awareness to Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).
The theme this year is “Kidney Disease and Obesity”.
To this end, Health Solutions Inc has joined forces with the Mustique Charitable Trust, Retired Nurses Association SVG and the Kidney Society of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Inc to celebrate World Kidney Day 2017.
On Thursday, March 9th, 2017 from 10 a.m, the general public will find booths set up at the open parking lot next to the General Post Office in Kingstown for brochure distribution, blood pressure checks, blood sugar among other health services.
The company in a press release said it is there hope to bring about awareness to the importance of kidneys, and how to reduce the risks of Kidney Disease while focusing on healthier lifestyles.
