According to sources who spoke with the St. Vincent Times, the St. Vincent Girls High School and the Thomas Saunders Secondary School were both forced to close their doors early on Tuesday due to an infestation of fleas that was present at both of their respective schools.
It is the second time that the GHS has been confronted with problems of this nature. In the month of January 2022, the school was obliged to send children home due to an infestation of fleas.
Several stray dogs that frequent the vicinity have made their homes under the schools, according to a source who spoke to the St. Vincent Times publication.
To the best of our knowledge, the Ministry of Education has not yet disseminated any information concerning the closure of the institutions.
