A Guyanese -Vincentian were among four persons who died as a result of that smash up on the Linden Soesdyke Highway in Guyana, on Wednesday night, 4th January 2017.
According to (Newssourcegy), three persons died on the spot Wednesday night, while the fourth victim passed away this morning, Thursday 5th January while undergoing surgery.
Lauron Mendonca of Linden, who moved to St Vincent as a child went to the Saint Martin Secondary School and the St Vincent community college. Mendonca was the 4th person identified among the fatalities, he died this morning.
Two other persons including the wife of one of the dead men are still in the hospital with multiple injuries.
The two cars involved in the smash-up according to (Newssourcegy), were traveling along the highway in opposite directions when they slammed head-on into each other just before 7 o clock on Wednesday night.
The impact of the collision left most of the persons pinned in the vehicles. The Guyana Fire Service Linden had to rush to the scene to cut apart the cars.
