A trough system will continue to generate cloudiness, showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorm across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines tonight into tomorrow.
According to a release from the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Office, soils are already saturated, therefore, residents in areas prone to flooding and land slippage should continue to exercise caution and be on the alert.
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Office said in the release, it will continue to monitor the situation.
Meanwhile, the National Emergency Management Organization posted on its facebook page Thursday night: “the Ministry of Transport and Works has advised that the Argyle/Akers bypass road is blocked due to a landslide.
All motorist travelling from the Windward Side of the island to Kingstown are advised to use the Peruvian Vale/Yambou by pass road”.
The Ministry of Education announced Thursday night, through the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), that all schools will be closed on Friday November 11, 2016.
