Man stabbed with scissors; woman shot in the neck

Police had their hands full last evening after receiving a report from an unknown individual sometime around 11:23 pm.The report from that person stated that a woman was shot at West Side bar above the Kingstown cemetery.

Junior Francis a business man of Kingstown, who is said to be in his early 50’s, told police he was by the said bar when Benika Samuel a 19 year old resident of Ottley Hall  confronted him, thus leading to an altercation.

According to reports, she stabbed him about his body with a scissors, and he shot her in the neck with his license firearm. They were taken to the MCMH where Francis was treated and discharged; he is currently assisting police with their investigations.

Benika Samuel is currently a patient at the  Milton Cato Memorial Hospital , her condition is said to be critical.

Earlier today, Schemel Dunbar, also known as ‘Jacket’, a 28-year-old labourer of Rillan Hill was charged with the murder of 52-year-old Malcolm Pollin of Vermont. Pollin was shot to death on Sunday, March 12th, 2017.
