With St Vincent under Tropical Storm watch, all state agencies are preparing themselves for any eventuality as Kirk is expected to affect SVG from tonight.
Nemo in a release says all members of the National Emergency Council (NEC) of the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) would attend a meeting of the Council at 3 pm this afternoon.
The meeting of the NEC will take place at NEMO’s Headquarters, Old Montrose. Acting Prime Minister – Hon. Montgomery Daniel will chair the meeting.
At 2 pm the National Hurricane Center reported that Kirk has strengthened and now packing winds of 60mph.
