The Acting Prime Minister – Hon. Montgomery Daniel has advised that there will be NO closure of the public service or businesses at this time.
The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) will continue to monitor and assess the situation and will continue to provide updates to the public.
Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides, near rivers and streams should continue to be alert.
A High-Surf Advisory and Small-Craft Warning remain in effect until 6:00 am Monday, 1st October.
NEMO urges all residents in coastal areas to be alert. Three families had to seek shelter at the Sandy Bay Government School overnight as high-surf threatened their homes.
There are no reports of injuries.
