On November 29th and 30th, ST.Vincent experienced a significant amount of rainfall that severely impacted and damaged various parts of the island. During a foot tour through the Windward side from Rabacca to Sandy Bay due to impassable roads, we noticed the loss of many homes, businesses and the livelihood of many people.
After witnessing the devastation first hand, Palm Beach Mansion has decided to host an event to assist persons affected by the floods. The North Windward Reach Out Committee was then created to plan and organize the event. The Committee consists of eight members dedicated to helping persons/families in need, especially with the holidays quickly approaching.
The concert will be held at Palm Beach Mansion on Sunday, December 11th, 2016 at 7:00 PM. Admission will be granted upon the production of nonperishable food items and toiletries. Monetary contributions will NOT be accepted. Persons wishing to make monetary donations are asked to do so at any of the supermarkets provided below. The committee has made arrangements to collect food items from these locations.
In addition, persons unable to attend the event but still wishing to contribute, may do so at Palm Beach Mansion which will be open on the day of the event from 11:00 AM until. Once again, MONETARY DONATIONS will NOT be accepted. For those unable to get to a drop off location, please feel free to call committee members Mr. Jason Rodriguez at 496-4205 or Ms. Michelle Dabriel at 491-7894 to coordinate pickups.
