Residents in the volcano ravaged community of Owia held a protest on Tuesday 8 September. Villagers say their aim was to get the attention of the government to recognize the many issues that are affecting them.
Residents who spoke at the event list the provision of water, health care and jobs as major concerns. They are reporting that the clinic is filled with sand. See the video.
