Police have arrested and charged Jessie Stcyr 35 years, Joel Payne 57 years old and Erick Samuel 28 years old all Fishermen of Vieux Fort, St. Lucia with the offences of Controlled Drug Possession and Drug Trafficking on 15.11.19.
According to investigations, the accused men were allegedly met in possession of one hundred and fifty-eight thousand, four hundred and forty-six (158,446) grammes of cannabis.
The men were subsequently charged with controlled drug possession and with having the controlled drug in their possession for the purpose of drug trafficking and for attempting to export.
The incident occurred on Sandy Bay on 13.11.19.
They are expected to appear before the Serious Offences Court on 18.11.19 to answer the charges.
