St Vincent Signs Contract with Synergy International Systems
The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the technology firm Synergy International Systems have agreed to collaborate on the development of a program and database that will improve efficiency, accountability, and transparency within the Ministry of National Mobilization.
The Social Assistance Management Information System (SAMIS) has been contracted to be digitized by Synergy International Systems. The signing ceremony took place in the Ministry of Mobilization earlier today, on Tuesday, June 13th, 2023.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Orando Brewster, Minister of National Mobilization, remarked that the construction of a digital system is a “vital project for our country.” Brewster stated that this initiative is “needed for efficiency and effectiveness and includes targeted interventions for households” since it intends to strengthen the social assistance department, which incorporates several areas of the social protection system.
Martin Sheen, SAMIS Information Technology Officer, stated that the Ministry is dedicated to ensuring that the SAMIS system gets operational and is maintained.
Lilit Gasparyan, Social Protection Project Manager, provided an overview of Synergy, saying that it is a well-established company with over twenty-five years of expertise. Gasparyan stated that Synergy’s mission is for clients to receive effective service, and social protection is one of the domains in which they work.
SAMIS Project Officer Gordon Webster and Project Coordinator Maureen Webber were also present during the signing.
