St Vincent and the Grenadines will go into action on Wednesday at the XVIII Pan American Games which is taking place in Lima, Peru.
Swimmers – Mya De Freitas and Cruz Halbich, along with track athlete- Brandon Parris, will be vying for places in the finals of their respective events. .
De Freitas competes in the women’s 200m freestyle, while Halbich will contest the same event in the men’s category. The events are carded to commence at 11 am, ( 12 noon Eastern Caribbean Time) at the Aquatic Centre in Videna.
The finals of these events are carded also for Wednesday from 830pm.
Meanwhile, Parris takes to the track in the men’s 400m semi-finals, which would be run between 340 and 350pm at the Athletics Stadium in San Luis.
If Parris makes it to the final, he will compete at 520 pm, also on Wednesday.
De Freitas and Halbich will swim in the 100m and 50m freestyle on Thursday and Friday, respectively, while Parris is entered in the 200m semi-finals on Thursday.
The other member of St Vincent and the Grenadines team is Zefal Bailey, whose event is the road race, which takes place on Saturday.
The St Vincent and the Grenadines management team includes Chief- De- Mission – Wayne Williams, along with cycling’s coach/ mechanic – Emmerson Holder and swimming coach- Neisha Alexander.
