St Vincent and the Grenadines wants the ability to test persons for the coronavirus and will invest US$100,000 to procure the required lab equipment.

Minister of Health and Wellness, Luke Browne indicated the government is focused on establishing in-country testing, as all tests are currently sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) in T&T.

An isolation facility will also be established in Argyle on a property that has no immediate dwelling places in its surroundings.

There are currently three persons quarantined in St Vincent and the Grenadines, two Vincentian nationals who had returned from Japan and an Italian national who works and resides in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
