When the Criminal Session of the High Court continued on Monday, January 28th, 2019 before Justice Brian Cottle a charge of robbery against Allan Wilson from the community of Questelles began.
Wilson is accused of arming himself with a firearm on the date in question and deprived Vincliffe Primus of Sion Hill an employee of C.K. Greaves Wholesale situated at Upper Bay Street, Kingstown of one black laptop bag valued at EC$60.00, one notebook estimated at $25.00 along with cash and cheques amounting to approximately $30,000.00 and $13,000.00 respectively on Friday February 7th, 2014 just after 5p.m.
The trial which is continuing has so far seen several witnesses mounting the witness stand inclusive of Vincliffe Primus a delivery clerk at the time currently a store-room supervisor.
Reports are that Primus had just left the wholesale department and was heading to the main office with the bag and its content when Wilson approached him and demanded that he hand over the bag to him.
Primus is said to have refused to hand him the bag during which time Wilson is said to have placed his hand to his waist revealing what appeared to be a handle of a gun.
Wilson then pulled the bag away from Primus and fed the scene with another male.
The matter was immediately reported to the Major Crime Unit and following investigations Wilson was arrested and charged.
The trial will continue on Tuesday, January 29th, 2019.
