Former Prime Minister and Founder of the New Democratic Party Sir James Mitchell has said there are people trying to destroy the legacy of the party but he remains unfazed despite this.
Mitchell said that there were people who would have been happy if he lost the commission of inquiry and his legal case, adding that they wanted him exterminated, however, he was able to secure justice for himself, his family, the party and for St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
He noted that it would never be good for SVG to have a commission of inquiry proving that a Prime Minister is corrupt, which would be wicked history for a country.
Mitchell speaking on Boom Fm, wished the party good luck going forward and said it was long overdue for the institution to let in fresh air, referencing the newly installed executive members at the NDP’s recent convention.
