Two Residents Of Bloc 2000 On $12,000.00 Bail Each For Gun Possession And Ammunition

Jeraudie Cromwell and Junior Phillips both from Bloc 2000 in the Old Montrose area has been nabbed by the Police with possession of gun and ammunition.

Both men were intercepted with one semi-automatic pistol and nine rounds of 9mm ammunition while they were travelling in a motor vehicle on the Vermont public road on Sunday, May 8th, 2017.

Cromwell and Phillips were escorted to the Serious Offences Court on Wednesday, May 10th before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne facing the charges to which a joint plea of not guilty was entered with legal representation from Lawyer Kay Bacchus-Baptiste.

When the question of Bail arose Senior Prosecutor Adolphus Delpesche had no objection to bail which was allowed in the sum of $12,000.00 each with one surety each.

They were ordered to surrender all travel documents to the Court and toe report to the Central Police Station on Mondays and Thursdays between 6 am and 6 pm.

They are not to leave the state without the express permission of the Court.The trial is expected to be heard on May 22nd, 2017.
