The United States Peace Corps is celebrating 50 years of partnership work and service to St Vincent & the Grenadines.
The U.S Peace Corps has proudly serve SVG since 1967 in education, nature conservation, disaster management, and as well other areas.
There are currently 15 volunteers on the island of St Vincent.
The United States Peace Corp is an international organisation that serves over 65 countries worldwide wide.
The Peace Corp volunteers work in a number of capacities from Primary to Secondary education, health and agriculture to economic development.
In addition to these primary assignments, many Volunteers work on HIV/AIDS prevention and care.
There will be a series of events during this month to commemorate the 50-year partnership.
