Zip Lining possibilities being explored for St Vincent

2 Min Read

Head of Invest SVG Allan Alexander said they are currently in discussions with a number of persons who are interested in the Cable Car and Zip Lining Service here.

Alexander and other members of the team said such service would enhance the Adventure- Ecotourism product significantly.

A cable car is any of a variety of cable transportation systems relying on cables to pull vehicles along or lower them at a steady rate, they are motorless and engineless and they are pulled by a cable that is rotated by a motor off-board.

Alexander speaking on StarFm Tuesday morning said that SVG has the perfect environment for Zip Lining.

“ Just last year we had an investor who came here, a potential investor who came here and was looking at different sites on the island”.

“ He came to point where he could not even decide which site to settle on, so there are a lot of opportunities, we are sifting through the individuals since you don’t just pick everyone that comes and say I want to invest”.

zip lining is a method of fast transportation across canyons, rivers and other impassable areas. cables and pulleys are threaded between two points at a slight angle; gravity then provides the momentum to pull the rider from one point to the next.

Alexander says there are a lot of behind the scenes manoeuvring including making sure that any potential investor and their money is not tainted in any way.
