The Beckett Benefit Organization on Saturday 26th January, In celebration of the organizations 5th anniversary, delivered gift baskets and other items to the less fortunate in our community.
There were 11 persons identified and given a basket containing: rice, green beans, popcorn, flour, sugar, sausages, toothpaste, toothbrushes, creme, soap dishes, soap, tea, canned milk, macaroni and cheese, and tuna.
The items were donated to and also purchased by the Beckett Benefit Organization.
The President of the organization, Mr. Vernon Cooper Mcdowall welcomed the recipients and handed the food to each person.
The recipients were: Effie Baby Hazlewood, Verne Sam, Lolitha Hazlewood, Keishell Thompson, Kethura Velox, Conrad Jeffers, Josette Emmons, Janey Bacchus, Selwyn Jack, Fredericka Williams, and Luvene Simmons.
The Beckett Benefit Organization is a non-profit volunteer organization of 20+ members who are dedicated to helping the less fortunate in the community of Layou in the area of health, education, sports, and where else it sees possible.
