120 Youths Employed At The Port For Christmas

Well over 100 youths would be employed in port Kingstown and Campden Park for the Christmas holidays.

PM Gonsalves told StarFm Morning scoop that some 120 youths have been employed for the annual Christmas work program.

He said most of the youngsters would be those who are now out of school and also on holidays.

The 120 would be employed until the 10th of January 2018. Meanwhile, the annual Christmas concession on barrels is continuing.

The adjustments will continue until 31st December 2017, the Prime Minister stated. Gonsalves said in 2016 over 20,000 persons benefited from such concessions.
