The Gender Affairs Division within the Ministry of National Mobilisation, Social Development, etc. would be commemorating the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence from November 25 – December 10, 2017. The theme for this year is “Orange the World: Unite to End Violence Against Women and Girls”.
As such, a series of activities have been planned for the 16 day period that includes a press conference on November 27, 2017 from 9:00 am – 12:00 noon at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Conference Room. The objectives of this activity are to:
- Declare start of the 16 days of activism
- Launch the protocols and procedures for Domestic Violence
- Introduce the National Commission on Gender-Based Violence
