On September 17, 2023, police arrested and charged a 16-year-old laborer from Lowman’s Hill, with the offense of theft.
The 16-year old was accused of stealing $2,200.00 in cash, the property of a 26-year-old laborer from Belmont. The offense occurred at Bedford Street, Kingstown, at about 10:05 a.m. on September 9th, 2023.
On September 18, the 16-year-old appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The defendant was granted bail in the amount of $2,500 EC with one surety.
The matter was adjourned to November 29, 2023.
