Maverick Joseph, an 18year old, unemployed young man of Belmont, was arrested and charged with the murder of Rapid Response Unit officer Giovanni Charles.
Charles was murdered on Monday May 2nd at the Belmont Government School while on duty, he sustained stab wounds to his neck and died on the way to the hospital.
The accused appeared at the Serious Offences Court on May 6th 2016.
