Last week the WPP General Surgery team traveled to St. Vincent for the 13th year, continuing to help close the gap in access to critical care for children in the Eastern Caribbean.
For the last six years the team has been led by Dr. Jeffery Lukish from Johns Hopkins Medicine and this year they were joined by students from Trinity School of Medicine, helping not just deliver care to children but provide real world experience for the doctors of tomorrow.
Last week, 41 children from St. Vincent and surrounding countries were seen in clinic and 19 surgeries were performed.
