Law Enforcement Officers at the Major Crime Unit have arrested and charged 19-year-old Jahbari Jackson also known as Michael Richards an unemployed young man from the community of Campden Park with the death of Sabitree Lyttle a 56-year-old Shopkeeper of Hollywood in the Redemption Sharpes area on November 14th, 2018.
Lyttle reportedly died after she received gun-shot wounds to her body at her home at Hollywood.
Jackson/Richards was escorted to the Magistrate Court to the Kingstown Magistrate Court on Wednesday November 21st before Senior Magistrate Rickie Burnett but was not allowed to enter a plea after the indictable charge was read to him.
As a result, Court Prosecutor Corleen Samuel made an application that the matter be adjourned and transferred to the Serious Offences Court.
This was allowed, and the accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne on Monday November 26th, 2018 to have a date set for the Preliminary Inquiry.
