SVG Receives PCR Machine For Covid Testing

Morning Updates on COVID-19 Pandemic – National Response By Minister Luke Browne

  1. The PCR Machine required for testing for COVID-19 arrived in SVG last Friday. It is currently being set up and lab technicians are being trained in the use of the machine. We should be able to commence in-country tests this week.
  1. The World Health Assembly started this morning by videoconference.I am scheduled to deliver a statement on behalf of SVG later today somewhere between 3pm and 6pm.
  1. The Kingstown District Clinic was opened this morning after a period of temporary closure during which it was used as part of the national COVID-19 Response Plan. Ventilators from Taiwan are due to arrive in SVG this week.
