34-year-old chauffeur charged with wounding

On August 26, 2026, police arrested and charged Kelvert Garraway, a 34-year-old chauffeur of Rose Hall, with the offence of wounding.

According to investigations, on August 21, 2026, the accused unlawfully and maliciously wounded a 39-year-old Sales clerk of Greiggs by striking her on the head with a cellular phone.

The offence was committed in New Montrose. Garraway appeared before the Serious Offences Court on August 27, 2026, where he pleaded not guilty to the offence. The conditions of his station bail continue. He was ordered not to have any contact with the complainant. The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Kingstown Magistrate Court for September 9, 2026.
