43 years old Kerwin Pierre from Campden Park has been committed to stand trial at the next Practical Sitting of the Criminal Session before a judge and jury on a charge of causing grievous bodily harm upon 64-year-old Lorville “Punch-in” Anderson a farmer of the same address.

The order was given on Tuesday, May 15th, by Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne at the Serious Offences Court at the conclusion of a Preliminary Inquiry after Senior Prosecutor Adolphus Delpesche summed five witnesses to give evidence.

The purpose of the inquiry was to look into the circumstances as a result of a cutlass wound which was inflicted to Anderson’s left ear on November 20th, 2017 at the public road opposite the Campden Park Health Centre.

Pierre is said to have approached the victim on the date in question and requested to use his cutlass which he used to strike him on his ear.
