Police in Owia, a village in the North Eastern Corridor of the island has confirmed that Denzil Lorraine drowned earlier on Saturday afternoon.
According to law enforcement in that community, Lorraine is 49 years, the drowning occurred sometime between 5.30 and 6 pm.
Police further told News784 that the body has not been recovered up to the time of this publication.
It was reported that Lorraine drowned in the Vicinity of the Owia fisheries complex, villagers say persons who went to his aide was unsuccessful in an attempt to rescue him.
