Only five (5) persons remain in the Emergency Shelter at the Sandy Bay Government School, this according to a release from the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO).
The Release says persons or organizations wishing to donate to those persons impacted by the recent floods are asked to contact NEMO, the Principal of the Sandy Bay Government School/members of the shelter management team or members of the Sandy Bay District Disaster Committee. for guidance as to the families affected and their temporary locations.
This will ensure the release further stated efficient and effective coordination and thus avoiding the chaos of several donors descending on the community at once.
Nemo is urging all interested donors to work together ensuring that the needs of those affected are met.
