PAUL’S AVENUE RESIDENT CHARGED WITH THEFT
On September 29, 2026, police arrested and charged William Charles, a 70-year-old resident of Paul’s Avenue, with the offence of theft.
Investigations revealed that the accused allegedly stole a quantity of groceries valued at EC$114.69, the property of a supermarket in Stoney Grounds.
The offence was committed on September 29, 2026, in Stoney Grounds.
Charles appeared before the Serious Offences Court on September 30, 2026, where he pleaded
guilty to the charge. He was sentenced to six months at His Majesty’s Prison, however, the sentence was suspended for one year.
