Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves may soon be Chief Negotiator for a group of Vincentian workers in Barbados if they follow through with their plans.

Claiming  they are being unfairly treated and underpaid, some Vincentians working with JADA Builders Inc on the Sandals Barbados Resort and Spa Expansion Project in Maxwell, Christ Church, are planning to approach their Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves for assistance.

Saying that things had gotten unbearable and that they needed desperate help, the spokesman for the group of close to 50 workers told the Barbadian Media that they had no-one else to turn to.

The spokesperson said that since arriving to work on the multi-million dollar project in June, they had been forced to work in unfavorable conditions and were continually being underpaid.

His comments came following a strike by close to 50 employees on Thursday.
