Thousands of parents across St Vincent and the Grenadines are livid over the internet services offered by FLOW.

News784 was inundated with WhatsApp messages and emails from parents saying it leaves much to be desired, especially at a critical time when classes are conducted online.

Complaints stem from no service sometimes for almost an entire day to intermittent service throughout the day.

Today (Wednesday), it appears that many parts of the island are without internet service based on complaints from parents and also several people in business.

One parent told News784 that her child, a form three student, has not been able to access classes in its entirety for two days now.

“It goes on and off, sometimes it here for three hours then it goes for long periods, sometimes up to six hours then by the time it returns classes are over”.

“It’s very disappointing what the network providers are giving us for service. I upgraded to the fastest package on the Flow network because I now have three secondary school students in my home. The government needs to do something about it”, another parent told us.

“There have been numerous complaints over the years about the internet connectivity in SVG. Residents pay for service they don’t get half of the time”, one businessman told News784.

“We (parents) are calling on the government to deal with Flow and its connectivity issues, as the children’s education is critical to the future of the nation”, one parent said in an email.

“They are playing the ass, could you believe this S**t. This is too much”, a parent, obviously livid, told us by phone.

There has been no word from Flow as to what is causing the almost daily disruptions to connectivity.

Efforts to reach Flow remains futile. However in a release earlier today the company said there was an outage across services on its network. What may have caused such an outage was not mentioned in the release.
