Mrs Kay Martin-Jack has been appointed Chief Education Officer (CEO) at the Ministry of Education and National Reconciliation.
The new term of Mrs Martin-Jack begins on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. She was previously Senior Education Officer for Secondary Schools.
In her role as Senior Education Officer, she was responsible for overseeing about 28 secondary-level institutions. Additionally, she was the national focal point for the CARICOM Teaching Standards initiative as well as UNICEF’s liaison with the Ministry of Education and National Reconciliation.
Additionally, Mrs Martin-Jack has served on several boards related to education and on a number of ad hoc committees.
The new CEO has extensive experience in the education sector, having worked at various levels in the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors. Furthermore, she served as Education Officer for Language, Literacy, and Communication at the Curriculum Development Unit.
