British Airways to begin UK-Guyana flights in 2023

 From next year (2023), British Airways will begin flying to Guyana.

During the first quarter of 2023, the flights will take place twice weekly from Gatwick International Airport to Cheddi Jagan International Airport.

The route will be served by BA’s 777-200ER, which can transport 332 passengers.

This is the first time British Airways will offer direct service to Guyana.

The following airlines currently offer service to Guyana: Caribbean Airlines, COPA, Suriname Airways, American Airlines, Jetblue, Inter-Caribbean Airways, and Fly AllWays.

According to Minister of Public Works, Juan Edghill Edghill, these airlines offer 627,318 seats to Guyana.

Next on the agenda is having another direct service from Guyana to Canada.
