Preliminary judging in the 2018 ECGC Primary Schools’ Performing Arts Festival is continuing here. The judging exercise commenced on February 6th.
The Ministry of Education says that the festival plays an important role in the students’ development as it provides an opportunity for young people to showcase their creativity.
The preliminary judging will run through to March 7th at participating schools with the grand showcase slated for March 20th and 21st at the Methodist Church Hall.
Addressing reporters at the launch of the Festival Coordinator of PRISPAF and Drama Development Officer in the Ministry of Culture, Martin Quashie said that having children involved in the Performing Arts, helps with their holistic development.
Dexter Bacchus of the Ministry of Education said the Ministry endorses the Primary School Performing Arts Festival,
and encouraged students, teachers, and parents to view the creative arts as a viable career option.
