Terrance Smith ordered to stand trial in the next Criminal Assizes

Terrance Smith a resident of the community of Layou has been ordered to stand trial before the judge and jury at the next Practical Sitting of the Criminal Assizes.

He will do so on an indictable charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm on Duane “Uglyman” Joseph of the same address on August 14th, 2016.

The order was given on Monday, February 20th, 2017 by Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne at the completion of a Preliminary Inquiry which looked into the circumstances that caused the incident.

Joseph is said to have sustained stab wounds to the head, chest and abdomen on the date in question during a fracas that developed into an altercation at a popular night spot.

This resulted in Joseph’s hospitalisation at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for several days.
