St Kitts: 15 year old Lashley Weekes dies in vehicular accident

A 15-year-old boy was killed in a car accident in St Kitts.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) says it is investigating the accident that killed Lashley Weekes, 15, of Saddlers, St. Kitts.

The event happened at 8:15 p.m. on Friday in the Halfway Tree neighborhood.

According to preliminary investigation findings, Morgan Wyatt of The Alley, Sandy Point, drove off the island’s main road and crashed with a house owned by Desmond Morton located on the road’s seaside.

Wyatt was on his way to Sandy Point with three passengers: Weekes, Tijay Matthew, and ‘Stachie’ of Saddlers.

He passed two parked cars before swerving back to the beach lane to escape oncoming traffic. As a result, his truck went off the road and crashed into Morton’s house. Matthew and ‘Stachie’ were in the truck’s bed when they were hit.

Inside the truck, Weekes was a passenger. He was declared dead at the site.

Law enforcement and emergency personnel were called to the site, and Wyatt, Matthew, and ‘Stachie’ were taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for minor injuries.
