Wuhan scientists ‘developed mutant virus before pandemic’: Report

2 Min Read

It was reported last Sunday that scientists in the Chinese city of Wuhan collaborated with the country’s military to mix the world’s most lethal viruses before the Covid outbreak began.

Chinese scientists were directing the secret project at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, according to investigators who studied intercepted communications and scientific studies.

According to a Sunday Times investigation, US investigators believe that one of the reasons there is no published information on the work is that it was done in partnership with Chinese military researchers.

According to the newspaper, it studied hundreds of documents, including classified reports, internal memoranda, scientific publications, and email conversations, and discovered that the Wuhan center was conducting more dangerous research with coronaviruses acquired from bat caves in southern China.

Scientists around the world first thought the outbreak was spontaneous, but the lab leak explanation has gained traction in recent years, with the FBI supporting it.

A new virus has emerged.
According to the Sunday Times, the lab ceased making its discoveries public in 2016 after researchers discovered a new strain of coronavirus in a mineshaft in Mojiang, Yunnan province, where victims died from symptoms similar to Sars. The deaths were not disclosed.

“The trail of papers starts to go dark,” an investigator told the publication. “That is precisely when the classified program began. In my opinion, Mojiang was hidden because of military secrets related to [the army’s] pursuit of dual-use capabilities in virological biological weapons and vaccines.”

According to US investigators, the clandestine initiative was designed to make mineshaft viruses more contagious to humans and may have resulted in the production of the Covid-19 virus, which escaped into the city of Wuhan following a laboratory accident.

“It has become increasingly clear that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was involved in the creation, propagation, and cover-up of the Covid-19 pandemic,” claimed one of the researchers.
