Emerson Slater, a 31-year-old labourer of Questelles, has been arrested and charged by the Police at Questelles for discharging a loaded firearm on April 30th, 2017.
Slater was escorted to the Serious Offences Courts on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne where he entered a not guilty plea.
The Court Prosecution did not object to bail which was allowed in the sum of $5,000.00 with one surety. Slater was also ordered to report to the Questelles Police Station on Mondays and Thursdays between 6 am and 6 pm on May 12th, 2017 which is the date set for trial.
According to a Police source, on time in question Slater was returning from a soccer match at Campden Park and got into a fracas with another person, and it was during such time he discharged the weapon in a public place.
