Colin John, Commissioner of Police, to demit office

According to a report in the SEARCHLIGHT newspaper on Thursday, Colin John, the Commissioner of Police for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, will demit office in the coming weeks.

According to the publication, John’s resignation as Chief of Police (COP) was corroborated by several sources. He has been COP since December 2015.

John possesses extensive experience of 35 years in the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, while holding an LLB honors degree, according to the publication.

There has been no official communication from the government regarding John’s resignation.
