1 Min Read

On August 4, 2023, the NTRC hosted the closing ceremony for the first of two MyApp summer Programs for the year at the Bequia Anglican Primary School.

Sixteen Bequia students participating in the program can now code using the micro:bit, a small, pocket-sized computer.

The children were also introduced to robotics, where they were allowed to build and then program robots using their coding skills.

Mr. D’journ Ollivierre, an SVGCC student, is the program’s valedictorian. Mr. Ollivierre received an HP 15.6” FHD IPS laptop in addition to the NTRC.

The second program will be held at St. Vincent Grammar School from July 31 to August 18, 2023.

The NTRC would like to thank the principals of all participating schools, as well as our sponsors, Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Taiwan Embassy, Flow, St. Vincent Port Authority, Digicel, Massy Stores Ltd, C.K. Greaves and Company Ltd, Bonadie Supermarket, Knights Trading in Bequia, and Open Integration Ltd. We would also want to thank all of the participants’ parents for their support of their children’s involvement in the program.
