St Vincent PM speaks about Ricardo Drue’s passing

St. Vincent Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves expressed condolences to the family of Antiguan soca star Ricardo Drue, who died on Tuesday.

“He died in his 30s. I mean, I enjoy his music. In fact, yesterday evening, you know, when I was relaxing just to keep a feeling, a connection, I was playing on YouTube. I love it here. I love it here.”.

”Of course, people know him for songs like Vagabond and also professionally. I am extending condolences to Patrice Roberts in Trinidad, with whom he has a child. They were close. Naturally, they were a team, a partnership in love and soca.

  • Guyana helicopter incident

Gonsalves on Wednesday also extended condolences to the families of the five soldiers in the military in Guyana who died in a helicopter accident in the Essequibo area.

”I spoke to President Ali about it; it’s difficult when you’re dealing with all the big national issues and then this tragedy comes along.”
