Family members, relatives and workers at the Gibson group of companies are now mourning the loss of a titan. Vincentian businessman and chief proprietor of Gibson Building Supplies, Mr Gurney Gibson died on Wednesday afternoon.
Gibson throughout his years was described by many as a man of the people, straightforward and down to earth. Individuals who spoke to News784 said, his involvement with the ordinary man was extraordinary.
“He made it easy for us as Vincentians to afford building materials,” one woman told News784 with tears in her eyes. Minister of Health Luke Browne described Gibson as a Vincentian Business Legend, Browne further stated that Gibson was a Colossus in Construction.
Death in the family leaves a void that cannot be filled. No one can ever take the place of this individual in the world.
