Six children were rescued on Tuesday after their boat sank in the Cuyuni River near the Eteringbang Landing in Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni).

They were then transferred to the Eteringbang Health Centre, where they were checked alongside their parents. The children were reportedly in fair physical health, if frightened.
