Saint James School of Medicine in Arnos Vale, SVG, is currently closed due to a bomb threat that occurred earlier this morning. As a precautionary measure, students have been sent home for the remainder of the day.

Sources tell the St Vincent Times that an unknown individual issued a threat, and every student was evacuated in accordance with the rules of the institution.

Police and fire personnel were at the University premises this morning and cordoned off the area, which has now been cleared following a thorough search.

Several students who were observed near the KFC building informed the St Vincent Times that they were inside when the alarm went off and were instructed to evacuate.

Police will conduct patrols in the area throughout the day in order to acquire more intelligence as they piece together the puzzle.
