When members of the Public Service Union (PSU) vote for a new executive to run the affairs of the Union over the 2024/2026 biennium, the name of the incumbent president – Mr. Elroy Boucher – would not be on the ballot paper. This is because he has been nominated unopposed as president. But President Boucher is not the only unopposed candidate. The others are colleagues:
- First Vice President Gweneth Baptiste Stoddard
- Second Vice President Desrita Gilkes Boucher
- Treasurer Gary Lewis
- Women’s Committee Chair Anastacia Wickham Caesar
- Young Workers Chair Nyorkia Cupid
They will all be presented as candadicy by acclamation. The contested positions are:
- General Secretary Shelly-Ann Alexander Ross
- Enka Peters
- Assistant Secretary Roxanne Pompey
- Lanique Findlay Providence
- Grievance Officer Kathy-Ann King
- Dougal Allen
The elections will be held on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th April.
Voting will take place over the two-day period Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th April,2024.
