The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in partnership with The International Organization for Migration (IOM) worked through the Regional Integration and Diaspora Unit (RIDU) to implement the Diaspora Mapping Project.

This project was geared towards obtaining the skills of the Vincentian Diaspora via an online survey and Mapping them to the needs that exist in the home country.

This project commenced in 2016 and was conducted in two (2) phases.  In Phase I a website was developed and diaspora was invited to register and complete an online survey of their skills and resources among other things.

In Phase II a Consultant conducted surveys and interviews to determine where our public and private sector are lacking in skills and competencies.

To this end, Ms. Nathalie Hanley – National Project Coordinator for the Caribbean and Ms. Anna Platonova – Senior Thematic Specialist, both from IOM will be in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to conduct a closing ceremony and to present a report of the findings based on Phase II.

The closing ceremony will take place at the Methodist Church Hall Thursday, July 27, 2017, commencing at 9:30 am -12.30.
